The ETC. Global Staffing Difference
The ETC. operations team stays very involved in not only the recruiting process of out of state projects, but also operations on the ground. We send a house manager “traveling secretary” with all teams traveling out of state.
We do this for numerous reasons. The main one being staff retention. We have found that the more cared about a team feels the harder they will work, and the longer they will stay on an out of state project. Experience has also shown that issues are much easier to handle if handled at once. If someone needs to be sent home the house manager is the one to pack them up and put them on the plane.
ETC. operations normally handle all on ground issues even when there are numerous staffing agencies involved. It is best if the expectations stay the same for the entire staff regardless of where they come from.
ETC. Global has a team of 10 prepared to deploy within 24 hours at all times. They are already background checked, drug tested and serv-safe certified.
When building larger traveling teams for our clients our first step in the process is collecting the information each contract is asking for (drug testing, background checks etc.) and then getting the needed paperwork completed prior to the recruit getting on the plane. There is nothing more upsetting than someone getting to a job out of state without the proper credentials and getting sent home.
When the project permits, we like to have our operations team boots on the ground ASAP. We have a proven system in building teams once we are on the ground. Think: less airfare and per diem.
Our goal is to take the stress of staffing off your plate!
